Moving from Kenya to Germany for University Studies
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) C+ and above can be used to pursue higher education in Germany
Pathways to German Universities
1. Studienkolleg (Preparatory College)
With a KCSE, you're eligible to enroll in a Studienkolleg, which provides access to all higher education institutions upon completion
2. Direct Admission
If you have successfully completed one year of university studies in Kenya, you might qualify for direct admission into related fields of study at German universities without attending a Studienkolleg.
German Language Proficiency
For applications to Studienkolleg, you must demonstrate German language proficiency at least at the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Check the specific language requirements at your chosen Studienkolleg. ÖSD certificates are accepted.
